horrible PAIN!!!

im 12 weeks preg w twins and last night around 2 am i woke up to the worst pain in my lower back i have ever felt in my life i thought it was a cramp at first but it lasted for like 2 hrs i got up and walked around, drank a bunch of water nothing helped i have never been in that much pain in my life.  has anyone experienced this. WTH!!!!

I've had RLP (round ligament pain) and some lower back pain especially after getting up to walk after sitting for a while, but none of this I would describe as the worse pain I've ever felt. I would consult with your dr. Any other cramping? spotting?

i've had some mild cramping and some lower back pain throughout, never any spotting. this was a whole different kind of pain though. it was what i imagined contractions feeling like. it scared the crap out of me and i almost went to the hospital but i didnt think id be able to drive ( dh works the night shift ). after it went away everything was fine and i went back to sleep and when i woke up this morning everything was back to normal, puking my guts out as usual.

When I was about 13 or 14 weeks I had terrible cramping and I was literally doubled over in bed. Everything was fine, but it was scary for a first time mom! It was probably round ligament pain. I wouldn't worry too much but definitely mention it to your doctor and go to the ER if you can't stand the pain!
