Activity ideas

I take my son to swimming lessons (we LOVE Miss Donna at the Dublic Rec Center!), open gym at the rec center and the occasional library story time. I want to do a little bit more with him, but so many of these classes are kind of expensive! What do you all do with your little ones around town? Any classes you've found that are a good deal?

  • We're doing a class at COSI - they run one class a month for very little kids.  We do storytime at the library.  The Main Library runs a PB & Jazz series in the summer we'll be going to.  Older kids (2 and up I think) can take classes at the Zoo.  There is a music program called We Joy Sing around town that we'll be doing in the fall.  Also, a few yoga studios around town run Baby & Me yoga classes that are supposed to be fun.

I haven't been there yet.. but in Clintonville just south of Morse Rd is an AWESOME "Play Cafe" called Firefly - basically a place were kids can run around, do crafts, and moms can hang out and drink coffee :)

I think it's like $5 to get it.. you can find out more information on their website/FB page.

    Hope that helps!
