i would love to go take some photos of these wall waves we're supposed to go get.... didnt think i would be one of "those" to not follow the rules.  but then mark said they were closing streets....im gonna be glued to the tv today.

I agree - please stay safe!  I hope you guys don't have to deal with any of this mess! 

I just watched the video on CNN of Japan and it is so scary!  People are trapped in houses or on top of buildings and there are giant boats bobbing around like they are toys in the bathtub!

It's supposed to hit us down here in SD - if it even is - in 30 minutes.  I am at work, though, and about 5 miles inland.

Not gonna lie, I wish I lived NEAR the beach. (On a non-wall-of-waves day of course). We got another 3-4 inches of snow today. Ugh.

Snow!  YUCK!  I'm soooo done with snow this year.  I went to school in Michigan and do not miss the winters there!

We are going to hit upper 50's today.  I'm practically giddy.  So glad I took the day off work - the boys and I are going on a walk!

I've lived here all my life and am trying to figure out why I still do... 50 sounds freaking amazing. So does 40. LOL

I live close to Long Beach.  They are expecting 2-3 foot waves.  WHAT?!  On a "normal" day waves in Cali are larger then that!  I guess it's good to be cautious but nothing going on here!

My MIL manages an apartment building RIGHT on the beach in LB.  She said police helicopters are flying around telling people to LEAVE the beach but she said no one is listening!

The news right now is showing surfers in the water.  Probably nothing will happen, but why risk it??

I dont think Im leaving the house, we live 2 miles from the beach, the harbor near our house is taking a hit, boats are sinking etc. I'm not worried as there are several sand dunes, a few small hills in between us and the beach but I think my belly and I will just stay home with the dogs.

Ya my husbands Aunt called saying, its already hit northern california 3-5 foots waves.  I thought to myself, "My husband grew up near Maverick's, he is a surfer, he surfs 5 foot waves (when they are available) regularly.  How is 3-5 feet of waves a concern?" But I am still being cautious, and am worried/scared for those who it is affecting.  It's just that nothing threatening is happening here on the central coast.
