Is it too late in the season to wear this?

I have a purple velvet blazer similar to the one in the link.  Is it too late in the winter season to wear now?

I have a hate/hate relationship with The Bump for never letting me embed a picture.  Sorry for the extra click.

    Thanks a bunch.  Maybe I'll squeeze in one showing of it tomorrow before I (hopefully) have to put it away until November!

    I'm no fashion plate, but I'd totally wear that given the weather we had today.  Besides, the "official" start of spring isn't for 10 more days.  And it will be dark when the GTG starts.  Ergo, velvet = OK.
