DH's sister gave me a sonoline b doppler to use during my pregnancy (I think thats the name of it). But I didnt want to start trying too early! When were you all able to start using yours and how long did it take you to find the heartbeats?
I was able to find them around 11.5 weeks and it took me 20-30 minutes total. I have the same brand doppler too and found it was easier to plug in headphones, lay flat, and start looking in small circles just above my public bone. It's really easy to get your own heartbeat though (from your two major arteries that run to your legs near your hip). Their heartbeat will be very distinct and much faster than yours.
I bought one when I was 11 weeks. Took me about 30 minutes, and I was just about to give up and cry when I angled it differently way down into my pelvis and found a heartbeat Then I just cried with relief! It's so hard the first few months when U/S are few and far between and you can't feel any movement wondering what they're doing in there, the doppler helped with that feeling a lot! I don't remember exactly when I could find two separate heartbeats, but I know it was later in pregnancy, probably closer to 16 weeks or more.

I was about 10.5 weeks and tried a few times (short periods of time) before I finally got it. I was searching right above my pubic bone since I was still early and as it turned out, that was too low. Once I started searching higher I found them quickly. Once you find your own its easy to distinguish it from the babies. I'm 99% sure I have found 2 distinct beats from the beginning but am not positive. I took my doppler up for my SIL to try out this weekend and she found a definite baby beat at only 9 weeks!! We both didn't think she would find it but after about 10 minutes she found it and it was baby for sure!! So exciting!
