Blah 37 Week Appt

I had my 37 week appt yesterday.  My bp and urine are still good. This was my first internal so I was really curious to see if I had any progress.  Well I am 1-1.5cm and 70% effaced.  Nothing too exciting but at least it was something. With DS at 37 weeks I was 0 cm and Dr said he wouldn't be coming that week...I had him 5 days later.  I really hope this LO decides to make an appearance in the next week. Oh and the Dr said she can't feel his head, so that means he isn't in my pelvis yet.  But she did also say that they move up and down right up until delivery so not to worry.  I am so physically and a little mentally tired of being pregnant.  I keep thinking I should start trying some of the OWT but who knows if they really work.  I keep thinking I didn't do any of them with DS and he came 2 weeks before his dd.  If anyone has any suggestions I'm open to them.

I was dilated and effaced the same as you at my 37 wk apt. too.  But Dr. could feel LO's head.  Like you said, there really isn't much stock in the numbers but it does make us feel good to know our bodies are doing something!

I am getting my membranes stripped tomorrow morning but other than that, sex and walking, I guess LO will come when he/she is ready!

Hang in there, we really don't have much longer!

Dr said we could talk about stripping my membranes next week.  She has to examine me first. So we will see.

My doctor does not strip membranes so I am out of luck there....and I have tried every single OWT I can think of aside from castor oil. Still nothing! I haven't even had an internal since 36 weeks....I know how you feel about being physically and mentally done, I am there as well!!

Like PP said, remember the numbers don't mean all that much about when you will go into labor. I wasn't dilated at all at my 37w appt. on Tuesday, but my doctor could already feel his head.
