So I know each baby is different, but when did Gabe's teeth finally pop out?
Morgan has been a mess for at least a week both crabby during the day and not sleeping at night. She is not sick so I know it's her teeth. I feel terrible for her and it is taking a toll on me. She is normally a good sleeper, in bed by 8 and out until I wake her up in the morning, but this getting up every hour is getting old. At one point her gums had just pure whiteness on them at least 4 of them, her two top and the two bottom ones (next to the two she already has), now the whiteness has gone away and she won't let you even look in her mouth without a fight. As of this morning there is nothing new in there.
So I wonder how was it with Gabe? I mean I never even knew she was getting her other 2 teeth which was right around christmas, I just looked and they were there one morning. I was hoping that was how it was going to be for all of them..
Thanks
Re: Ballerina & others -- Teething
With Gabe's bottom teeth it seriously took like 2 weeks for the 1st one to break through, then 13 days later the 2nd broke through. Tooth 3 popped through without me even realizing it, it never gave him a problem. That was an upper left, right next to the center left tooth area. The right upper next to the center right popped through with minimal issues a few days after tooth 3. The center 2 uppers: now that was a real treat. I dealt with crabby baby for 3 days. I took him in thinking it was another ear infection. It was not. He was cutting 5 teeth at once (3 uppers and 2 lowers, all before tooth 4 popped).
Sunday night he was up screaming every single hour. Monday late morning I got a text from daycare that he popped the left center upper. The right center upper just popped through.
Basically, Friday I took him in, by Monday he had 2 out of the 5 popped through. We only had 1 really really bad night, the other nights were up every 2-3 hrs.

The bottom ones for Lucas were nothing compared to the top front four. I dont even remember how long that miserable time was I blocked it out of my memory already I suppose
Hopefully she gets them soon! We didnt really do much for him, just tylenol and orajel at naps. But I hated the smell of orajel, it always smelled like it was burning his gums, but it did work for instant relief so he could at least fall asleep for naps. I never reapplied it like they suggest. I also let him chew on a cool wet rag.
Mommy's little helper
Oh, and here's the list of everything we tried:
Motrin
Tylenol
Hyland's Teething Gel
Humphrey's Teething Tablets
Sophie the Giraffe
Teethers in the freezer
Washcloth
Frozen fruit in a mesh feeder
Unfortunately none of them really helped much. He was still in pain, screaming, crying, pulling his ears, not sleeping. It will pass, I promise. Right now you are in survival mode.

Thanks Ladies! I am hoping the end is near! It sounds like it must be her two top teeth that are going to be poping out any day.
We have been doing everything but the teething gel and tablets to try and help her, maybe if things don't happen in the next day or two we can try those. She loves chewing on washcloths and cries when I take them away from her and tylenol seems to help at night.
Survial mode is what I am in.. not sleep .. crabby baby.. crabby boss, makes for a long week! I told her this morning that she spoiled me with sleeping so good because now mommy doesn't do so good on 3 or 4 hours of sleep! Of course she just laughed at me...

We only have three teeth between two babies so far, and they've all taken a few days to a week to pop through. While we try to go natural as much as possible and hate to go backwards on the STTN routine, when they're clearly in a lot of pain, I use Oragel, breastfeed, and give some Tylenol as a last resort. The natural tablets didn't seem to help much the few times we used them, so we've pretty much given up on them. Luckily they get back to STTN once the teeth are through.
