DH and I had an "oops" moment last month (more like momentS) right during my ovulation time - I was inebriated and unconcerned with what the date was on the calendar! So anyway, I'm now five days late, and the two tests I have taken at home have been negative. I am usually like clockwork, and I also get very specific PMS symptoms every month, including a kick @ss migraine, which is MIA. Thoughts? Has anyone else had a late-showing positive result? Our "oops" moment has turned into something we really want, so we're frustrated with this being in limbo bit.
Oh, and hi! I'm new to this board, at least
Re: So frustrated...
If you're "late" and you're getting negative HPTs, chances are you're not pregnant, you just ovulated later than you think you did. Even IF you ovulated when you think you did, you still only have a 20% chance of conceiving each cycle (and that usually involves sex more than once). It can take a healthy couple up to a year to conceive even when they're really trying.
Unless you're temping and charting, you can't confirm ovulation by dates on a calendar, even if your cycles are regular. Check out the Trying to Get Pregnant board and read the newbie link at the top of the board BEFORE you post.
Good luck!

It is possible to be pregnant and get BFNs. The best way is to head to the Doc and request blood work. If you know your body as well as you say, and you know that you are defo 5 days late and your PMS is MIA... then there is always a chance.
If you can (I know its hard to wait) wait another week, if you get AF then you'll know... if you dont test again... if you still get a BFN go to your doc who will run bloods. I have heard of some women whos HCG just doesn't show up in urine. (are you making sure you use FMU?)
Best of luck... hope it's your turn hun.
