At my book club, a lot of the girls are randomly IF also.

One girl was discussing a former member who moved....who i also know.  She TTC-ed for 8 yrs and had an IVF daughter 3 yrs ago.

Now she is pregnant again at 48.  Some of the girls were "wow 48 that's so amazing, especially after all of those yrs of IF).

And i say "come on, it's gotta be donor eggs".  Another IVF-er totally agreed w me,  But i'm so jaded now...I can't even smile and say "great, good for her"...bc i think she's lying

Either donor eggs or frosties left over from a much earlier cycle maybe?

I would have thought that too....but all of her cycles failed till her daughter.  Poss a frostie from that cycle.

I always automatically assume that women over 40 who get pg either used ART/DE...especially celebs!

i thought the same thing about john travolta and his wife.  did they ever come out and say if it was IVF or DE or anything?

I always assume ART and often think DE when they're well into their 40's. My RE actually called out the Travoltas, which I thought was funny. However,,,, I do know a lady at my school who sid ivf for her first 2 and just had her third naturally at 46!

I don't think you're mean at all. I think a major s/e of the IF process is that we all become a bit jaded

your not mean...and i completely get it.  But i want to share that my grandmother had 5 m/c and didn't have her first successful pregnancy until she was 40.  She had 4 kids!  Imagine having a newborn at 50! It's crazy, but it happens.

Same thoughts as everyone else.....what's wrong with being honest?? I wouldve had the same feelings and I usually dont feel too too bad about it...hahahha...Now thats mean!!!!

nothing mean about that! i think once you have been through IF and IVF you tend to know what the truth is.

I don't think it's mean either... IF has drastically reduced my filter, so I prob would have said something too
