does anyone have a recommendation for a video monitor with 2 cameras? We dont have 2u2, but would like to keep an eye on our older one still as he transitions to a big boy bed.
we bought a second summer infant night/day monitor. There is an A and B channel. DD1 will be on camera ChA, DD2 will be on camera ChB. One hand held monitor can be switched between A and B.

We did. We had the Summer handheld monitor. We had a camera in DS room and DD room. We had one monitor and could flip back and forth between "a" and "b". The only thing is that you can't listen in on both rooms at the same time. p.s. I bought it off ebay which saved us like $100.

If you want cameras in two different rooms (or cameras that you can view at the same time on one screen), Summer Infant makes 3 that do this: the Sleek & Secure, Slim & Secure, and Baby Touch. The Summer rep I spoke to on the phone did not recommend the Sleek & Secure. She recommended both of the other two, but the Slim & Secure was recently recalled. The Baby Touch is good because with ONE camera you are able to pan around the room, so you might not need two cameras. However, it is expensive since it's their top of the line.
They do have other single-camera models that you can add a camera to, which might be more economical, and you just switch cameras when you want to view from another angle.
I do not have a video monitor at this time, but I did some research when we had DD because it was the only way to have ONE parent unit monitor two rooms. (Instead we have two separate sound monitors)
We just got the Summer Infant Baby Touch after trying out a bunch of the other ones. It works really good and I LOVE that it's portable (which our last one was not). We haven't bought the second camera yet, only because BBB didn't have it yet. If your house is large, the range is longer than the other Summer products. We had the Day & Night with DS and in our home, it was horrible from DS's room to our room. But it was great when we were in a room closer to his, so it just depends. We also tried the Levana which some people love but it was a piece of junk IMO. My recommendation is just to save the receipts because you never know what will work best in your particular home.
We just got THIS monitor and it allows for up to 4 cameras. For the 2 camera set from Costco this is a good deal. Additional cameras are around $75 (amazon link).
