I had my routine OB appointment today. My blood pressure was great and my weight gain of 10 lbs is right on track - she likes to see singleton pregnancies gain 10 lbs by 20 weeks, so she said I'm doing great. She brought the ultrasound machine right in. Usually with singleton pregnancies they will just listen for a heart rate, but it's harder with twins to make sure you're accurately hearing both heartbeats, so they always to a u/s - yay for me! As usual, we saw the active baby first who had the hiccups today. He was bouncing up and down every few seconds - SO CUTE! Then we saw the calm one. She was just chillin' out, not bothered at all by her bouncing next door neighbor. Yes, I think they are a boy and a girl so that's what I'm calling them for now ![]()
After my colposcopy on the 29th, I have the anatomy scan on April 12th!!!

I saw my peanut hiccuping once. It kind of freaked me out since it looked like the baby was going to throw its neck out! Its whole body was involved in the hiccup!
That is great that you get u/s each visit!!
I love how you have decided that the crazy one is the boy and the calm one is the girl! I had the opposite opinion of mine, until our Anatomy Scan last week, where they confirmed that Baby A (girl) is the calmer one and Baby B (boy) is the wild one!! Sounds like your mother's intuition is much better than mine!
So glad to hear that all is on track! We've gotten to hear the heartbeats at each appointment (Baby A is on the left and Baby B is on the right -- two different sides of my belly this week), but I LOVE the extra u/s! We have u./s every other week with our MFM and I always look forward to those appointments!
Good Luck at your colposcopy, and I'm looking forward to your Anatomy Scan results on 4/12!!
