BIL's engagment ruined our name choice....

BIL proposed--somewhat unexpectedly--to his GF. Her first name was the top-runner for this baby, if it were also a girl. But I don't think I want to have 2 women with the same first and last names in the immediate family. (I realize I'm assuming she'll take his last name upon marriage.)

 

Oh well, back to the drawing board. I told BIL it's a good thing I like this girl. ;-)

    Meh, we considered naming our LO my sister's fiance's name.  (His name is also my recently deceased grandfather's name).  If the fiance wasn't such a d-bag, we might have chosen it. 
    Baby Boy Born 3.15.11. 8lb 9oz, 21.75in. 6 month stats: 20lb 11oz (92%tile), 30.12in.(100%tile - who knew it went over 99th? Which means 100% of other 6 month olds are shorter than mine!)

    It was Lucinda. I love that name, but I don't need 2 Lucy K______'s in the immediate family.

    Haha, are you kidding? Names are pretty much all we care about! Stick out tongue

    Anyway, I'm sorry this happened to you, but I'm glad he went ahead and aked her to marry him now, rather than after the birth certificate was signed.

    Luckily there are soo many great names out there. Good luck on your journey of finding another name that works for you!
