Radon

Anyone know possible effects on baby? We are just beginning second trimester and just learned our radon levels are elevated (17 instead of 4 or less) based on short-term test done in basement.

Thanks.

Re: Radon

  • Potential effects would depend a lot on how much time you spend in the basement - I know it's similar to smoking as far as cancer risk goes, but radon is heavier than air so it concentrates at the lowest point in your home. I wouldn't worry unless your bedroom is down there, or you spend several hours a day down there.

Talk to your dr. at your next appointment.
