back pain?

Just wondering for any other pregnant mom's out there, has anyone ever suffered from upper back spasms during your first trimester?  I'm only 7 weeks and last night woke up suddenly from a sound sleep w/the most awful pain/spasm between my shoulder blades and the back of my neck.  I didn't have anything like this with my other two.  It's slightly better today, but very uncomfortable.  I'ts like a sharp stabbing pain.   Thanks

This is my first pregancy and have been having the same pain.  The doctor said to sleep wtih a heating pad and if that does not work to try a massage.
