Tachycardia

I am about 4.5 weeks along and have noticed that my heart rate is faster than normal.  Yesterday at the doctor's office my resting heart rate was 120!

Does anyone else have this going on?

    Mine shoots up but goes back down again.  I have a resting heart rate of about 85-90 which I hear is normal when you are pregnant.

    Mine has been a little elevated too. I have to take my  bp everyday and it tells me my heart rate and its usually in the low 90's.  120 seems pretty high.  I was on a drug last pregnancy to prevent PTL and it caused an elevated heart rate, but i was told at 120 i was to call and let them know.

    I'm lurking this morning but wanted to let you know that you should follow up with your OB regarding this. I had tachycardia throughout my pregnancy and by the 3rd tri it was getting up into the 170's for brief periods and that was the resting rate. They had me going to a cardiologist who monitored me and also gave me pindolol. I ended up with pre-e and delivered early but everything worked out perfectly. As long as you're monitored it should be just fine! H&H 9 months to you!

    Thanks, girls.  I already have an appointment with a cardiologist and I've been in touch with my OB.

    Looks like I'll have an exciting 9 months to look forward to!

    I have!  I wasn't sure if it was pregnancy related or b/c I've been sick.  Mine has been up around 100 at times.  I've even had an EKG and ECHO done and everything appears to be fine.
