I went for my routine NST this morning. Both girls are still head down. When they did my ultrasound they said that Lily is kicking her cord and each time she kicks it her heartbeat is dipping (this scares me!). They want me to come back in tomorrow morning because they were not able to keep her on the monitors enough to satisfy them. During this time they said I was having consistent contractions 3-4 minutes apart for about 30-40 mins. that I was on the monitor. I did feel some but I didn?t realize they were that close! The nurse told me they?d be sending me to triage! I was overcome with excitement and fear! I know that if they were born now (34 weeks 1 day) they would be fine, but they might need NICU time and of course staying inside me at least 2 more weeks could make a big difference. The nurse said she did not pick up any contractions while I was there. I couldn?t really say for sure if I felt any because I was too busy dying in pain from the beds. Not exaggerating. Who?s idea was it to put these type of beds in labor and delivery for pregnant women to lay on? The doctor came and swabbed me for a fFN but once again decided NOT to send the test in for results because my cervix was closed. Cervix checks by the way??painful! Not fun. Glad to hear that my cervix is long and closed. I feel contractions just about every afternoon and/or evening but they haven?t been very strong. I?m measuring over 40 weeks pregnant so my body thinks it?s time to get this party started. So close!!!
