Dear AF, please hurry up and get here

I have never wished so hard for AF in my life.

I took my last dose of Prometrium on Sunday, still negative test on Monday so RE told me to stop and call him when my cycle started. Now it's Tuesday and she isn't anywhere to be found.

Any idea how long this will take? McIrish, I'm looking at you - since you stopped two days before me. I am guessing maybe I will start Thursday - 4 days seems like enough time, right?

I have been really good about not taking any more tests though... justincase.

I'm just ready to get this show on the road and get the next cycle started.

Having a later period and KNOWING you are not pregnant freaking sucks.

    Dude!  i know ...

    i'm 16dpo ... tested neg on sunday and stopped taking progesterone.  am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the crimson tide.

    however, my meds for the next cycle have not yet arrived, so the longer it takes for my period to arrive, the better chance i will have of the meds being here on time.

    I "think" AF will be rearing her head today. I actually forgot to take my temp this am but I saw a little suggestion of her this am. 19DPO...

    ETA: AF confirmed.

    ok, period arrived late this morning ... my last progesterone was saturday ... you will probably start soon.

    what protocols are you guys doing this cycle?  tomorrow i start femara + follistim.

    Yeah, I think she will be arriving tonight or tomorrow. I can feel her getting ready.

    I am going to do another round of Clomid with the Ovidrel trigger. I responded well to Clomid, 2 follicles - but they were a little small. I am hoping my right ovary will be on deck this month and make some fatter follicles. When I meet with my RE, we will discuss whether I should stay on 50mg or move up to 100.

    I start 125ui Follistim on Friday. I thought it was a high dosage but did I see 450 in your siggy?

    I'm in the same boat.  Waiting for the beeotch.  then wait to ovulate.  Then I'll start estrogen priming ten days after the NEXT ovulation with ganirelix.  Then AF again, I guess.  THEN I'll finally stim with follistim.  Pain in the freakin' @s$.   Ooo I sound a little cranky...maybe AF is on her way after all.

Had to postpone IUI #3 b/c of a cyst natural=BFN. Skipped IUI #3, decided to go for IVF. Found/removed uterine polyps Jan 2011. IVF cancelled, no follicles.     Well, she's here. At least it means a new cycle is starting.

    I have a question about Follistim. I was trying to look up the prices online so I can be prepared before my RE visit just in case he wants to go that route. But it's really hard to tell. Is it really expensive?

    Do you know what dosage it would be?  I have a 900iu and 600iu pen coming tomorrow. I am doing 125/day so that is a 12 day supply. It looks like it was around $1700!!   Mine was covered a lot by insurance so maybe the non-insurance price is a little lower?

    yup 450iu!  

    i started with 225iu and responded well ... 4 follicles (although bfn)

    since i'm not doing ivf ... and i'm an old woman (42 next week) my RE is being super aggressive in these last few months (summer is my end point).

    ivf is not covered under my insurance, but all the meds are ... so i really don't know the true cost ... however, last month, my insurance statement showed ~$5000 for the 450iu of follistim ... totally insane.

    It's just insane how expensive this stuff is. I read that the patent on Follistim expires in 2015 and that will bring the price down when a generic is made. Don't know if the date is accurate and it doesn't help us now....
