Not trying??? Your ACTIVELY trying....if you weren't trying you wouldn't go out of your way to search boards and spend time coming up with with mean things??? Go enjoy your baby, instead of "LURKING" and leave everyone to enjoy our pregnancies!

My baby is asleep, with a cold. I am just pondering the life of other boards. I am allowed to go to other boards, I'm not just locked into where my LO fits. I want you to enjoy your pregnancy. And I'd love to enjoy your pregnancy with 1 ticker. That's all

Enjoy, and your welcome:)

sure you can find out then, but I challenge you to find out the accuracy at 12 weeks. I'm just saying. BtW... This thread was a joke. But in all seriousness. 12 weeks is not accurate, so tell your friend to not put all her eggs in one basket. And all you need is 1 ticker. That is all

Holy crap.... ppl need to calm down so what if she is younger then all of us who gives a *** if she did a test you bitches need to realize how exciting this is for ALL OF US...and how anxious we all are to know the sex of our LO and if this girl wants to start a registry then go for it i started mine already just for diapers and the general things but hey if you want to go pick out bright ass pink paint i say go for it it is your mother's tuition speaking. and i think that the real test is whatever you call it weather he or she that is what it will be. i called DS a him since i found out i was pg.

You could have given me the $30 for that test and I could tell you what your having. Peeing on a test can't tell you what your having. It's also really early to start a registry. Most of the things you will register for will be discontinued. I would hold off for a few. Wait till 20 weeks. That's when you will find out the gender, then have fun putting together a nursery.

We'll at least start the registry. Seems like it'll be one of the most fun parts of preg!

I hope you have a boy... or a hermapherdite

    OMG that is so mean!!!!!!

You know what? YOU DESERVE MEAN! you are so naive. I can't believe you think this thing is right?

no one deserves a hermaphidite.... not even ppl like you. you are cold and heartless and would be better off not having children at all.

  • YesBINI... you can eat S*** and die *** the world has too little space for that big A** mouth you have on your face and how about you go to your own board....unless you are pg heaven for bid i feel so sorry for the man who got you knocked up send him my sympathy. or maybe you have no idea who he is or which one I am talking about. move on C***Big Smile

This is humorous. However, it is still pretty pathetic that another board's idea of fun is to make up posts on 1st tri and to gross out some 2nd tri girls. I've been around for quite a while. It wasn't funny before and isn't funny now. There are more important things than being "funny and cool" on the internet.

I'm actually 19 and I'm in college, it's not like I'm some stupid, immature high schooler. Plenty of ppl take the test and it works for them, so I'm assuming it will work for me. Plus My uncle had a dream that I had a girl and I've been craving sweets, so I'm pretty sure it's right.

Seriously? Because your uncle had a dream and you're craving sweets you think it's a girl? Could be, but I would wait to buy girly things until your 20 week ultrasound.

    Anywho.

Yes, the baby is a boy or a girl because it already has sex chromosomes. It's "parts" just haven't formed yet so if there really was a test that could predict the sex of a baby, then yes, it would work.

I wasn't trying to be cool, it was a joke! Some people caught on right away, some were really nice about it :) and some weren't, but who cares? My baby was in bed at 8 p.m. and I was bored. We wanted to liven the boards up a bit.

Clearly, I did NOT have better things to do than post made up bullsh!t on the interwebs. Have a nice day!

I genuinely hope you all have great pregnancies. They go by really fast! Sorry for y'all who can't take a joke.

Besides, why is everyone on here so mean?

Because this thing is ridiculous. You do realize that your baby isn't producing its own hormones yet, it won't until it becomes a fetus at 8 weeks. So all your pee test thing is picking up is YOUR hormones. Also, your baby is in your uterus, which does nothing to what's in your pee. The baby may get your hormones in its system, but you can't get its into yours. And they only way your OB can tell its a boy or girl for sure is the run genetics testing, like CVS and amnio, both of which draw fluid from the placenta (again, has nothing to do with your pee). Geez, maybe read up a little on pregnancy and physiology before buying baby stuff, that's way more important.

My ILs swear by tying a needle to string and holding it over your belly. If its a circle, its a girl, a pendulum motion, a boy. This has correctly ID'd my MIL, her brother, my FI, his sister, and a plethora of chickens. Everyone has tried it on me multiple times and its always a pendulum. I am so not buying boys stuff until my OB tells me otherwise, and everyone is cool with this.

I get it, you're really into having a girl. But sit back and use that brain you say you have as a college student. Let the excitement at least become normal, then learn what's actually going on in your bodies. BTW, I'm in college too, so its not just mean old moms on here that think you're getting carried away.

And they are right about your registry stuff probably being discontinued between now and then.

  • Are there moderators for these boards? This strikes me as the kind of thing that should get locked and shutdown. It does not enhance the community at large, it does not address a specific need/question of the members of this community, and it's degraded into a mud slinging battle with multiple posts having been deleted without taking into consideration posts that quoted them.

I know we're a bunch of rowdy and hormonal women trying to claw each others eyes out, but seriously; let's at least try to foster a good sense of humor from both sides of this topic.

LOL really?  If you want mud slinging, this is tame.  All in good fun to liven up a boring night.  And no, they won't suit things like this down since there is nothing in the TOS about it, and frankly, most people enjoy a little harmless drama.

  • ok, let's get real..  I THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS AS LONG AS THE BABY IS HEALTHY!!!!!  It shouldn't matter what the sex is?  I hate to burst your bubbles, but I don't think you should trust one of those things.  I had a couple of my friends use those and they were wrong.  When I was pregnant with my first everyone thought I was having a boy, it was the way I carried and so forth and so on...  Turned out it was A GIRL and of course I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world.  But your best bet is to wait on the registry, if you need to register then register all NEUTRALS!!  Just don't jump the gun here until you have total proof what the baby is.

Considering you are posting on "the interwebs," what are these better things that you have to do?

I actually have a lot to do considering I am in my last semester of school, have an active 19 month old and now a high risk pregnancy with a lot of doctors appointments. But I actually had some down time waiting on laundry and I bump from my phone between classes.

I have a sense of humor. I just didn't find it funny at the time. I can see where it would be mildly humorous, but maybe it is just because I have so much going on right now. It could be just because I'm sick of seeing posts like this that are actually real.
