Josie Duggar's 1st b-day episode just about made me cry

Say what you will about the Duggars, but the episode celebrating Josie's 1st birthday really got me. It's amazing how far she's come in a year. What a miracle. I suspect she'll have health issues down the road, and I know they still have to be super-vigilent about germs, but still. She started life barely a pound. Crazy.

  • I don't watch the show, but my cousin had 1.5 pound twins.  I feel for anyone who has a sub 2000 gram baby.  It is just a town you don't want to visit.  We are super, and I do mean, super, like won the lottery lucky, that both of my cousin's twins are healthy and seem to have skipped the giant disability possibilities, which is very rare at their birth weight/gestation.  They are 5 now, so things could still come up with education, but they are doing so well, we are very hopeful.

That is awesome. Makes you realize how precious and fragile life can be. Sometimes we roll along and take it for granted.
