...and I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm currently in the process of separating from my husband of 10 years. We have one 5 yo daughter. I am most concerned about her adjustment to the changes, although I have been the 85% parent most days and she's a true momma's girl, so maybe she'll weather it better than I think.

One quick question - husband is moving out soon, but he's willing to pay child support, etc before the divorce is processed. We'd like to proceed with minimal invovlement of a lawyer. Can child support amounts be figured out "legally" without hiring a lawyer? I don't even know what to ask him for either - it's all so foreign to me.
