After posting and blogging about my bf-ing woes I got a lot of support and advice. I tried one last time to nurse Lucas and he latched right on. We had a very good night and while I still had to give him a bottle, he was still latching. I went to a bf-ing support group this morning and got a lot of help. I feel like I can do this. So now I'm going to that group 3 times a week until we get his issue of being a lazy eater and his jaundice gone.

Good for you for wanting to give it another try. It can get frustrating, heck, my baby is a great BFer and I still get frustrated and want to throw in the towel - continuing on takes a lot of willpower. I know this is something you want and you have a ton of support now so I think you can succeed, and if not, at least you can say you gave it your best effort.

Good luck to you! I also have a lazy eater and we're just now getting to the point where he is latching almost every time and we're supplementing a bit less. I went to the lactation consultant twice and spoke with a la leche leader. Every bit helps!

I am glad you are sticking with it! There are going to be times when you are struggling again but I am glad you were able to feel the success of him latching right on. And nothing wrong with continuing to give him a bottle if you feel you need to either! Just make sure you are happy.
