Yep! We we trying to get pg... Nope, we were not "trying" for twins. As it turns out, it is TOTALLY acceptable for married women to get pregnant by their husbands even if they have 2 other children!
Here is what I am starting to tell people:
My next favorite line from people
"oh my gosh were you surprised?"
-uh-yea....duh!
Re: Were you trying?????? (a kind of funny rant)
People keep asking me "Wow how did you get pregnant with twins"
Hmmmm
I will give you one guess!
We were still engaged when we found out we were pregnant (we've since gotten married, it just got moved up!) and people ask us all the time if we were trying, or when we tell them it's twins they ask "How we got pregnant." I know that they are asking if we used treatments or not, but it's confusing to me why people who know me and know that we weren't married yet ask that. Because we were ready to invest thousands of dollars and emotional expense into fertility treatments but not into getting married (my apologies if someone did go this route)? Anyway, so when people ask how I got pregnant with twins I usually just shrug, but sometimes I'll be like "The peanut butter cup martinis at a bar in San Antonio, okay? That's how I got pregnant with twins."
And with the PP - the boy/girl "And you're done" comments are too much! Like, thanks for family planning for us.
Sorry for the snark, this just always sets me off! People shouldn't ask how you got pregnant, nor should they decide how many kids you have.

I dont know how one "trys for triplets" but yours are too darn cute!!!
My personal favorite is "your sure going to have your hands full!" I have an 8 month old at home and am 7 months pregnant with twins and hear that several times a day. Im really glad I hear that so often, I really thought it was going to be a cake walk.
Also another one me and my husband hear on a regular basis is "so whos getting fixed after this?"
Get used to that one. You will hear it 100x more after the babies are born. We have 3 under 2 and 4 under 5 and hear it all the freaking time. It's so annoying.
