does the bloating go away??!

i'm only seven weeks and i swear i'm already showing!  and my belly feels firm like a pg belly.  does the bloat go away before you start actually showing?

 i haven't told my work yet, but i'm only 5'3" and not overweight at all.  it's only a matter of time before people start talking (if they haven't already).

the bloat goes away right about the time you actually start to get a bump.....your waistline will never be the same.

It'll come and go. I looked a lot bigger about a week ago than I do now, I can actually wear my normal pants today, yay!

I found that drinking a ton of water helps. I probably drink about 120-160 ounces per day. That's about 15-20 glasses. Seems excessive but I'm super thirsty anyway and it really helped me debloat. Just try to stop a few hours before bedtime or you'll be up all night! LOL

This exactly.  I was far more bloated at 8 weeks then I was at 9 weeks.  This weekend was bad, but then yesterday I had a lot less bloat than normal.

I was EXTREMELY bloated all the way up to the beginning of last week, then all of a sudden the bloating was gone and now I have a small bump. My stomach never got flat (like it was before i was preg) in between the bloating and starting of a bump. I popped around 11 weeks 4 days. You can tell the difference when the bloating goes away.

I am 14 weeks and my bump s still not noticeable unless I am naked. But my bloating is huge and my belly makes me look farther along the I am. I can see a separation in my stomach between the bloat under my belly button and my bump. At first I did not mind it but then I see other women who are as far along as me and they are no longer bloated. I am a small person and I do not want to look huge the whole time!

Are you constipated? My bloat is worse when I am constipated. Last week I seriously looked like I was wayyy further along in my pregnancy than I was. Sorry for the TMI.

Last time i was pregnant i found out at 4 weeks and at 6 weeks i already looked like i was 5 months!!!! My bloating went down around week 9-10 and then from there it was all baby and fluid. Now im pregnant again and at 6 weeks im sooooo bloated. But trust me it will go down. Im also constipated (sorry its its TMI, but we all women on here) and im sure that contributes to it. For me my blump just transitioned to a bump around 11 weeks. I looked 3 months at like week 5 I think. Now I am KU with number 2 and I believe the blump has arrived at 4 weeks.

I feel ya! I'm a fitness counselor at a weight loss retreat and I'm not quite 7 weeks and already look 5 months pregnant due to bloat. In fact, it has the ability to push my belly button out so that a small lump can be seen through my clothes. Not easy to hide at all and I really don't feel like sharing this information with everyone at work just yet but it's only a matter of time before someone wonders what the heck is happening to my abdomen, especially due to my line of work and having a toned physique prior to this.

Im in the same boat. I feel like a whale! Lol. I'm only 5 weeks and I don't want to tell people yet. Let's all just put on stretchy pants and wear them with pride :-)

I am only turning 5 weeks and I am feeling bloated and I work in an office environment and don't want people to know until I am 12 wks. I hope it goes down. I have some pretty nosey people in my office.

Im 5 weeks and Im looking like im 3 months.. my stomach is bloated and hard but I have so problem with going to the bathroom or anything.. so does it stay like this? Should I just accept it? A lot of people have said you lose your appetite but I havnt lost mine at all.. lol

I think for some people it goes away in a couple of weeks, for some people it stays until the bump arrives. Everyone is different.

Also, for other regular posters: Triple tapped zombie thread? Is that a record?

Glad to hear I'm not alone. I'm five weeks and my belly looks very pregnant. It was literally flat about two weeks ago, so it's very weird. I'm toned everywhere else, so I feel so fat and I've been trying to avoid seeing friends because I don't want them to think I just got really far in two weeks.
