I'm not considering it, but I need to call someone with this name and am not sure how to pronounce it. German-style: Vih-tolt? Or is it Why-told?

I went through elementary & high school with a guy named Witold.  He was from Poland and he pronounced it "Vee-tol".  Eventually he started to go by a pronunciation that sounded more like "Vito" and THEN he started to go by "Vitek" (Vee-tech)  I'm not sure why he changed it up so much, but initially he was "Vee-tol".

I'm not sure about any differences between German and Polish pronunciation though.

Annoyingly, I got Witold's vm yesterday and he doesn't state his own name in his outgoing message. So the mystery remains until he calls me back...
