Moaning In My Sleep!?!?!

My husband thinks this is funny but I'm so embarrassed about it! For some reason when I sleep I MOAN most the night. He said it sounds like I'm having me a good ole time, He even woke me last night with his laughing bc of me moaning!! OMG And I don't even dream about that kind of stuff. It just started about a week ago. Sometimes I wake myself up with this. I have NO CLUE why this just started but it really is embarrassing!

Re: Moaning In My Sleep!?!?!

  • ha! better watch out he might get excited!

Honestly, I had an adult  themed dream last night. No moaning but honestly I should not because I am on pelvic rest and anything like that can cause contractions. Oops. Surprise  Guess we just can't help it.

  • Oh my I'm laughing because I am dealing with the SAME problem.  Although my DH isn't as nice about it.  He wakes me up and gets mad.  I asked him what he wants me to do about it and he said "sleep differently".
Anthony Javier will be here soon!

  • I am not moaning, but instead grunting or gasping (not for air, but like I was surprised). MH hasn't mentioned it, but I have woken myself up a few times, and it took me a bit to realize what "that noise" was. I know MH noticed it at least once because he sat up and looked at me one night and then went right back to sleep.

@actresscye...please ask YH about how one would go about getting another to "sleep differently." I would love any advice I could use on MH to get him to stop snoring! Wink

  • i did this with my last baby. i would wake myself up with the moaning. mine wasn't sexy though, it was more like a zombie moan.

i told dh about it one night and goes, "oh yeah, you've been doing that for a while now"... gee thanks! lol

i don't think i'm doing it this time

  • I have woken myself up doing this at least 3 times in the last week. DH hasn't mentioned it to me, but I think he is just being nice about it. I have been sick, so for me, it wasn't a pleasure moan...more of a tortured one, but still funny!

  • I'm in the same boat! Ever since I found out I was pregnant I haven't been snoring...but I've been moaning. It is embarrassing but I think it may have to do with whatever I'm dreaming about because DH said sometimes my moans sort of sound like I'm talking. It's so weird.
  • I've been wanting to post this for months!  I've been doing this since I was about 10 weeks.  My husband says it's getting worse; the moans/grunts are longer and louder.

When I sleep lightly, I can hear it myself.  Sometimes I've even tell myself mentally "okay Jessica, you hear the moaning, now stop" and no less than 30 seconds later, I do it again.

    NO clue why.

ETA: I don't think it has anything to do with what I'm dreaming about.  I can fall asleep on the couch or in the recliner for less than 5 mins and I'll wake up with my husband looking at me and laughing, telling me that I'm doing it again.  I do it everytime I fall asleep.

  • Moaning, snoring, clicking-- DH tells me it's been bad since about 18 weeks-- he's even had to relocate to the couch a few times :) oops!

I did some asking around and it's supposedly because of increase in stress-- either b/c you are uncomfortable in your sleep or stress from the day is building up--- it keeps your from falling into such a deep sleep that you won't talk.... or moan out loud.

It made sense to me, since mine started getting bad right when DH started tax season-- I went from having dinner waiting and ready when I got home, a clean apartment, and someone to help me with everything, to none of the above! We'll see if it stops when tax season ends!

Stress would make soooo much sense! I was going to ask my dr. about the moaning but just figured she would look at me funny lol! I have been REALLY stressed lately. I'm always stressed but lately it has just been one thing after another! Thank you for this! I'm def going to have to check this one out!!!!
