Dog question - re: people food

Is there any reason for me to not feed my dog egg yolks? I eat a lot of hard boiled eggs and unless I am making deviled eggs, I don't eat the yolks (it's a taste thing). I've been feeding them to my dog and he loves them. He will come running from the other side of the house if he hears me cracking an egg. Is this bad for him at all? fwiw: he's a small dog, he's a Pug and only 20lbs.

  • Our vet says it's bad for them because it will raise their cholesterol.

  • I think a little occasionally is ok, but not often. I don't like giving our dog people food, she starts begging for it while we're eating dinner and putting her nose on the food when it's low enough.

  • Eggs are great for dogs. I used to feed my dogs a raw diet and free-range eggs were part of what they ate every day.
