[ I posted the same one on NJ nesties, but thought I would post here as well maybe to catch difference audience. ]
We are thinking about going to RMANJ for IVF (due to poor sperm quality). Have had a hard time choosing the doctor. We want to find a very experienced doctor (hopefully had done many cycles with high success rate), who is patient enough to answer questions and address our concerns. We are trying to pick one out of Dr. Bergh, Dr. Bohrer and Dr. Scott. (I saw from some posts/reviews saying that Dr. Scott and Dr. Bergh are very impersonal and treat people more like a number, and they don't think from your perspective. At the same time, I saw some nice words about Dr. Bohrer.)
For all of you who have/had experiences there, can you recommend?
I am also not sure how much difference the RE makes inside the same clinic. I assume IVF procedure is already pretty standard now. So if we go for IVF, what is actually decided/done by the RE himself/herself? I guess the egg retrieval and embryo implantation are done by the chosen RE. What about other things such as in vitro fertilization, ICSI, etc?
Any information is highly appreciated!
Re: Looking for RE recommendation in RMANJ
i'm from jersey too. I don't go to this place but my sister in law does. if you send me a PM I can let you know what doc she goes to ( have to ask her first). but i know she has nothing but good things to say about that clinic.
I go to Center for advance fertility and medicine and i love them. I would be happy to tell you what I think about them too.

I went there a few years ago and had a good experience with all of their doctors. We did IVF with ICSI, their lab is very good. I only saw my doc (Dr Drews) on occasion for monitoring. The doctors rotate at all of the RMA locations for morning monitoring, retrievals and transfers so you won't always have your chosen doctor for the procedures, but they will be the ones deciding your protocol and making decisions about your progress.
Dr Bohrer did my hysteroscopy and was very very personable. I think you'd be very happy with him.
I cycled at RMA manhattan. As an FYI, it is a group practice...so u see ur Dr pretty infrequently. The most u see them, is if u get a BFP...and in my case, a mc. So then, compassion is really welcome.
I had a good experience with them. I did leave, but it was not due to the care.
I go to RMA of PA, but have my ER and ET at RMA of NJ. Like Vanessa said, it is a group practice so you will not see the same doctor again and again. That is the benefit of a small private practice. However, RMA of NJ has awesome success rates and obviously are good at what they do. I had Dr. Bergh for my transfer. He wasn't the friendliest person I have ever met, but he is the one who diagnosed me with egg quality issues. My other doctor didn't want to jump to any conclusions, but he was right all along! Dr. Drews did my retrieval. He is great and a super nice.
Good luck and know that whoever you see there, you'll be in good hands!

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
When you go in for monitoring you see whichever doctor is on rotation that day. I've gotten to meet pretty much all of them and I like all of them a lot. Like PP said, whoever is in the Morristown office that day is who does your ER and ET, but you'll probably know them by then anyway.
My main doctor is Dr. Kim (in the West Orange branch) and I think he's awesome.

I go to the Morristown office. I have Dr. Morris and she is great. I have had a lot of interaction with a bunch of them due to morning monitoring. Dr. Morris is very attentive, but like everyone else said, you get who you get for your monitoring and IVF retrievals. Dr. Molinaro (mentioned above) does seem to be there frequently for monitoring hours. I have also had Dr Constantini (female) on a few occasions and she seems VERY personal and caring. She seems to have a soft bedside manner.
Good Luck!
Dr. Morris is my doctor too-but like PP have said, I think I've only seen her a handful of times since we started in October (2 IUI and one IVF cycle). We obviously met with her originally, but I've seen a number of doctors there-some are better than others in the personality department, but it didn't bother me. I have different docs do my 2 IUIs, and then one doc do my retrieval and one do my transfer-none of them my 'primary' doctor. All of the doctor's there really work together-and they also discuss cases with each other-so I think you'd be fine with anyone (when I originally made my appointment, they didn't even give me a choice, although I probably could have asked for someone specific).
