New to The Bump

New to TB: And have a pressing question!

So I have looked at blogs and have been on here for a couple days, (not all in a row Smile) but I haven't found anyone asking a question completely the same as mine. So I was on the nuva ring for two years and decided to stop BC in september. And for the first few months after I stopped my cycle was abnormally long for a couple months and now for the past four months they have been normal, but my last cycle started on 01/27 and since then I usually start within 28 days for the next cycle. So I was expecting to start around 02/27, but it's been a week since my MP. So my question would be if I should wait another week to take a HPT? Or if I should just wait another month or so to find out if for sure I am PG, or just ovulated late?

  • Stop at the dollar store and stock up on pg test.  That way you wont be throwing money away waiting until your period shows up.  Also do a little research on how your body works.  TTGP and some of the other boards will suggest you temp to have a better idea of what is really going on in your cycle.  Fertility Friend is a great place to learn how to chart.  No one can be 100% sure when their period will start although charting/temping will make it easier to determine.  Coming off of any bc can take your body over a year to regulate.  So take a test.  If its positive then you get to skip past all this info and join 1st tri.  Good Luck
