Re: anyone seeing a therapist for IF?
I've never done it but I most certainly have given it some serious thought. Good luck to you...I think it would be really helpful. Keep us posted if this is something that is helping you through this process.
Also, *hug*.

Diagnosed with GD at 28 weeks. Controlled through diet and exercise. No insulin.
Diagnosed with Cholestasis of pregnancy @ 36 weeks.
Delivered via C-section @ 36 weeks on 11/9/11.
I went to a psychologist associated with my REI clinic when I was having my IUI's, and she was tremendously helpful. In fact, I'm calling today for another appointment. She is intimately aware of the struggles associated with infertility, as well as the treatments, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. If your clinic has someone they recommend, I'd go with them.
In the past, I called my EAP through work to try to find a therapist who I could speak to about work anxiety and stress, but they just gave me a laundry list of people who were in-network, which I didn't find helpful. In fact, it created more stress because I had no idea where to start!
Good luck. Wish both of you the best, and sending hugs your way.
I haven't, but I would if we were staying here a bit longer. I also find myself letting this take over my life (mentally) and don't know how I am going to live this way for years potentially.
Have you looked into any RESOLVE support groups? I was checking out my local chapter online and see they meet once a week. I was going to email the person in charge and ask her what it is like.

I have considered it. Especially after this latest dissappointment.
My ister saw a grief counselor after her second miscarriage. She said it really made a difference and helped her get through it.
I checked out their website at the suggestion of an acquaintance who has been through this. There is no RI chapter and I didn't want to travel up to Waltham. Laziness basically.

I've been going to personal sessions & couples sessions. They have r-e-a-l-l-y helped me process all of my feelings, as well given me support to better communicate with my DH. Although my friends & family have all tried to support me & DH, none of them have gone through miscarriages or lengthy TTC processes.
I definitely recommend finding someone you're comfortable talking with. You deserve all the support that you need during this trying process!
Best wishes!
