I wasn't expecting it since 4DT are quite rare. We had 7 doing well yesterday and 2 that had stopped growing (or so they thought). Today, the IVF nurse called and we have 8 growing! I'm surprised that they aren't willing to wait and do a 5DT so I told her to have the embryologist call me so I can get details. I want to be prepared and know ahead of time what my plan is for how many to put back. I know that things will change by tomorrow, but I like to be as prepared as possible.
Why do you think they are doing a 4DT with 8 embies growing? Do you think there are a couple front runners that are great quality or do you think that most aren't great quality and they don't think they will survive for a 5DT?
I know, I'm driving myself crazy until they call back this afternoon, but I have to overanalyze everything..its what I do best!
Re: OMG..ET tomorrow!!
Hi! I'm a week or two behind you..

I never heard of a 4dt, but I guess they feel that they have enough info that they can transfer tomorrow. I am glad you two others are catching up.

hey! that's great news. our clinic seems to be weird about doing 5 day transfers....seems that if they have 2-3 embies that are pulling ahead, they want to get them in you as fast as possible. the embryologist apparently got a grant a while ago to study 4 day transfers, and is one of the best in his field for that (per jon posner). don't know if it's true, but i wouldn't worry about it.
good luck tomorrow!!!
