It was pretty fun. We had this woman called "the Dinosaur Lady" come. She's a paleontologist who actually does dinosaur digs in New Mexico in the summers and she does an hour long presentation about digging for dinosaurs. Kids get to touch fossils, etc. There was actually *silence* from the 10, 5 year olds + 3 little brothers/sisters for 45 minutes.
That looks awesome!!! DS wants a dino party for his fifth...were'd you get the blow-ups and the cake idea? what did your invites look like? Also, what did you do for favors?

That's where I got the paper goods, invitations and favors. We ordered enough stuff to get a free pinata as well. You can get a lot of this stuff at Oriental Trading as well (the blow ups, specifically).
I had seen an idea for "dino dig cake" a while back (sheet cake with crumbled oreos for dirt and then sugar cookies cut in the shape of bones)--I think I saw the idea in a magazine?? DD wanted that and a volcano as well, so I used one of those doll-dress cake pans to make the volcano and I actually used white melting wafers to make the bones instead of cookie dough.

I wish the dino lady would travel to SC!
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
