Jolly Jumper & large child

My 2 month old is wearing 6 month clothing and is currently about 18lbs.   He is larger and taller than my cousin's 9 month old. I had my shower today (delayed due to illness) and one of the gifts is a Evenflo Jump & go excerciser.  It is like a Jolly Jumper but the weight limit on it is 24 lbs.  The Jolly Jumper you put in the door frame has a 28 lb limit.  I know the one on the frame goes to 30 but we do not have room for  the frame in our apartment.

My question is, since my little one is so big if he will get that much use out of it?  I assume he is going to slow down in his growth but I would rather put the money toward something he can use when he is over 25 lbs (especially since that is the weight limit of his current swing)

Can you recommend any products that have a higher max weight?  I want to buy him something that he can use for while.
