LO ate a Tadoodle Marker! Help!

Help!  I stashed her Crayola Tadoodles away for structured play only.  Well apparently she must have stashed one in her toy bin.  I took my eyes off of her for a split second (she was right next to me) and I looked back just to see why she was so quiet and there was green dye all over her lips and in her mouth.  I wiped the majority of it away and out of her mouth.  I made her drink extra water to help flush it out of her system and dilute it.  It's non-toxic, so I have nothing to worry about, right??  I deserve the world's sh*ttiest mother award.

I'm don't know what Tadoodle's are but did she eat the entire thing or just suck on it? Expect her poop to be that color. If she just sucked on it I wouldn't worry, if she ate the whole thing I would call poison control, I've had to once before . They are VERY nice. You are not a horrible mother!!!

Yep, she sucked on it.  I just checked on the Crayola site and they say that it is even safe to ingest but it still scares me.

Sucking on it? Meh, her poop will look like something Oscar the Grouch would be proud of. Before you wiped it off, you should have taken pictures!! She's fine, and you aren't a bad mom!! I'm judging you more for the idea of structured play time with a toddler than the fact that she sucked on a marker! J/k. ;o)

Riley was sucking on a highlighter the other day.  It's non-toxic and nothing happened to her, so I wouldn't be worried.  But if you're still feeling insecure about it I'd call the doctor and/or poison control (they're super nice, Riley ate my Zicam's a few weeks ago and I had to call them).

 

Also, don't call yourself a bad mom.  There are a million and one things you can't prevent no matter how hard you try.  Just keep doing you're best and that's all that matters.  Leave the sh*ttest mother of the year award for the mothers that don't worry about their children and do ruthless things to them.

You only have to worry if she swallowed the entire tip. If she just sucked on some ink, it's non-toxic.

My DD ate an entire green crayon, her poop was bright green for two days and she was fine.
