When I was pregnant with DD I took some prenatal vitamins that I absolutely loved! Unfortunately, they've raised their prices and I'm looking for a different brand now. (I'm not pregnant yet, but still taking my vitamins since I'm BF). Anyway, a few samples I took back in the day made me sick so I'm hoping you guys can recommend some inexpensive ones that you havn't had any issues with. Thanks!

Re: Recommend your prenatal vitamins!
Naturemade (the kind without DHA) is working well for me right now. I take them with Expecta DHA.
My favs are Citranatal - made by citracal - but they are Rx & expensive!
Ditto, but for a while I couldn't even get crackers down for lack of appetite so I never was able to take it with enough food, so my doctor gave me some samples of CitraNatal (three pills a day instead of one) and they've gotten me through to 3 months. I'll pick up the One-A-Day's again once my tummy can take it.
I take the ones from Target and love them!

I think the key is to take capsules instead of tablets. I can't take any tablets without getting extremely sick.
I also really liked Citranatal (as some other ppl mentioned), but they're expensive. Since my insurance only covers the generic tablets and I have to pay for mine, I'm taking Prenexa-- they cost $52/month, but the samples came with a coupon that brought the cost down to $22.
I was taking the 1-A Days when ttc and for the first 2 months and I loved them ( but had to eat when taking them). My dr switced me to the Citra-natal about 3 weeks ago and I have been so constipated! It's killing me! I'm debating switching back to the 1-A days. I have an appt tomorrow so I'm going to ask my dr. Anyone else having this problem?

I think the 1-A-Day brand has a stool softener with it, because I haven't had any constipation at all so far. I read somewhere online that a lot of commercial brands do this.
I take 1 A Days before bed so I don't have to worry about stomach issues at all.
