We went to Flip and there were a lot of kids there and toddlers in high chairs. If there were not I probably would have left. We were seated in a booth on a side of the restaurant that seemed to be filled with kids. So I felt fairly comfortable.
I had horrible service. The hostess was a snotty little wench from the moment we walked in and rolled her eyes at me. We were seated and she practically slung a high chair around like it was some big hassle. Then the waitress treated me like I didn't exist. She greeted my friend and then she took my friend's order for a drink and not mine. She brought my friend a drink. I had to pipe up and say "What about me?" I was never acknowledged the ENTIRE meal. She took foooooooooooooorrrrrrreeeeeeever to bring food. By the time I got my burger it was cold. By the time I got my milkshake it was melted. Oh and when I went to pay the bill she wouldn't give me the tab! She just snatched my card and walked off with an attitude. When she came back she gave my card and the bill that she took out of my hand to my friend. Here's the kicker: My card has my picture on it and I am clearly white. My friend is not white.
Seriously. WTF?
Re: flipping rant
I hope you said something to the manager on the way out. As if its not hard enough to drag a toddler out to eat in the first place.
I went out to lunch with a friend (Addi's Mom, Laura) sans kids and we got good service but the waitresses from another section kept bumping my chair as they squeezed past me rather than walk an additional maybe ten feet to go around without so much as an "excuse me". I hate when I bother to get a sitter and go out and have a poor experience.
