Double stroller help

I really want a Baby Jogger City Mini stroller.  We go to Disney a lot and have LOVED the one we've rented while down there on 2 different occasions.  If we rent 2 more times, we would have paid for the stroller (hence the reason we want to just buy our own).  We are planning to have another DC when DS (now 15months) is about 3.

Do you think I should spend the money on a single stroller if another DC is in our future?  Should I just get a double now and put DS in it alone or is that weird?

The Baby Jogger City Select works for one and you can purchase a seat to add to it later to make it a tandem. I would look into that.

I agree with PP... buying a double before you've even conceived is risky... you never know how long it will take to conceive and although its not what you want, your DS may even be out of a stroller by the time a second child comes along or I know there are a lot of kids who won't even go into a stroller by the time they are 3 or 4 (no matter how tired they are or how long the day is). I would probably suggest buying a good single stroller that can be converted to a double. A lot of people seem to like the city select. IMO, I would only get a double that is only a double if my kids were less than 2 years apart (for example, mine will be 16 months apart). Good luck.

Get the single.  The the city select is HUGE and doesn't fold as easily as the city mini.  You can always sell it later, or keep it for when you only need a single stroller.  Besides, you never know what they will come out with in the future.  Something even BETTER!!

We planned to have 2u2, but when DS was born we got the City Mini Single. I couldn't imagine having one child in a double. I'll admit it stinks to turn around and pay for the double so soon, but it's worth it. We considered selling our single, but realized we may need it for LO#2 when LO#1 outgrows the stroller. I don't know that i prefer the Select, but I don't think it was even out when we got our BJCM single.
