Just found heartbeat on doppler at 7 weeks 4 days!

I can't believe it! I totally just found the baby's heartbeat on the doppler. I had my first appointment today and had an u/s. Saw the heartbeat but baby is measuring 6 weeks 6 days. I was nervous so I got out my new doppler after trying a few days ago to no avail. The OB said my uterus was angling on my right side so I focused over there. After about 3-4 min I found it! I had rented a doppler with my last two pregnancies and the earliest I found it then was at 8 1/2 weeks. We listened to it for about 3-4 min before turning it off. It was such a relief. I am shocked I could hear it so early! The Sonoline B dopplers are amazing!

Wow, that's great!  I couldn't hear DS' heartbeat until 13-14 weeks with the doppler, so that's pretty amazing.  Enjoy!

Oh wow. I always thought you couldn't get a HB with a Doppler until 12 weeks.

Are you positive it's picking up the baby's hb and not your own?  Not trying to be snarky - it's actually a pretty common mistake.

I agree. Finding it with the doppler that early is pretty strange. The baby is still tiny, making the heart even tinier!

Lol I had a doppler and I used it on myself when not pregnant (we were cleaning out boxes in the basement and bored) and I heard a "heartbeat".  You could be picking up something else.

I had this exact thought. This is bascially impossible even with the highest tech equipment at the doctors office.

not trying to mean, but is this one of those dopplers you buy at Babies R Us?  when I was pg with dd I couldn't hear her hb with it till I was in my 3rd trimester-which it says in the small print is normal.  Unless there is some fancy kind now, which is possible since my dd is almost 3 and baby equip changes so fast.

This was my thought as well.  I've never heard of a doppler being able to pick up a hb much before 10 weeks.

If it was possible to pick up the hp that early with your machine don't you think the doctor's offices would have those machines? I think maybe you were hearing your own heartbeat.

Nope, 100% the baby! This is my third child and can tell the difference between my slow heartbeat and the baby's rapid heartbeat. It's not the doppler from babies r us. I found the heartbeat with my son at 8 1/2 weeks. I found it with this baby last night. Not sure how its possible but apparently it is! I understand that you girls are doubting it but I know what I heard and heard it with DH for a good amount of time. I'm going to try and find it again tonight.
