A little update on my tale...

I'm not sure how many of you caught my post on either 2nd tri or 35+ parenting...or how many of you heard about the fire in West Philadelphia on Feb. 17, but...that was my place We were on the top, front, right side of the building where the fire hit hardest (it shot up the hallway from the back of the building), and we lost everything.

Right now the building is condemned but the day after I was able to get up there and find my grandparents' wedding ring (FI and I get married on the 12th) - I'm not allowed up there anymore due to the pg; it's very dangerous, but I never would have believed it without seeing it myself.

So...that's where I've been. I was finally able to update my blog, so if you'd like to read/see more I'll leave it up to you (https://www.urbanflowerpot.blogspot.com/).

This is definitely the hardest time of my life, but I'm counting my blessings and glad LO, FI, and me lived through it.

Hope all has been going well with each of you. I'll be back on the boards more frequently as time goes on.

I'm so sorry.  I can't even imagine what it is like.  I'm glad you and your family are okay.  I'm so sorry about your kittys.  They are beautiful and obviously well loved. 

I agree with the previous poster.  I'd love to help you out anyway I can with baby stuff, house stuff, anything.

Sorry for the late reply, but I'm just reading this and my heart breaks for you guys.  I'm sorry this happened, but I'm so glad that you and your FI were not harmed.  My thoughts are with you.  I'm also sorry you lost your beloved pets. The whole situation stinks and must be so difficult. 

I have DS's old crib if you want it (basic, dark cherry in color, no mattress).  It's in good condition, however, it does have a drop down side which apparently has become a no-no since he was little.  So I will leave that up to you.

I'm checking this board for the first time in months. I'm glad you're ok. I'm so sorry this happened to you, and I hope you're able to stay stress-free for the rest of your pregnancy. I just read your blog and I can't imagine how overwhelming it all is. I'm so sorry about your kitties (they're part of your family!). On a positive note there must be a reason why you weren't in your apartment when it happened. Congratulations on your wedding!
