My husband is deployed, anyone else go through this?

He deployed in May, and came home for R&R on Christmas, which is when I got pregnant. My question is, has anyone else had to go through a pregnancy alone, even though you have a husband or boyfriend? I know there are single moms, but are there any other moms who's husband or boyfriend can't be there for them for some reason they can't help? how do you deal with it? Its kinda been depressing for me, and My husband is pretty bummed about it too.

I'm right there with you- my husband deployed in June, came home for R & R in January and here we are.  I've been relying on him through google chat/email and spending lots of time with my parents.  Will your husband be home soon?

He comes home SOON, but only for block leave. he is stationed in Germany and I'm trying to move there with him so we can do this together, but so far all odds are against us

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that.  My husband comes home soon too, but he has to report to his original duty station.  We won't get his next orders until September so we likely won't be in the same place for the majority of the pregnancy- I feel your pain, a little bit.  It is less than ideal but if you have a strong support system around you it is doable.  Then again, I'm at seven weeks- who knows how I'll feel in a few months

my situation is a bit different, but similar. DH has a rotation deployment schedual and will be gone starting within the next 30 days, and will be gone roughly 70 days, home 30ish days and will probably leave another 70. He is doing this so he is certain to be home for the birth of the baby. SO most of my pregnancy will be alone, but not totally. DH wishes he could be here, but I'd rather he be here more once the baby is here

Im right there with you too!  I haven't made my intro over here yet, but I got my BFP last week.  My husband will deploy in May and will be gone for a year.  LO should be due in November.  I will spend practically the entire pregnancy and possibly birth alone..  PM me if you ever want to chat!

Last deployment I wasnt pregnant but my friend was (our husbands are in the same unit) she took pictures and they used skype and of course phone calls and letters..Its obviously not the same but she said it kind of helped her out because she had her baby to focus on instead of herself you know..its a really bittersweet time. They have recordable books and things like that so the baby can hear his voice and he can also make you guys a video so you can watch it everynite..itll help the baby recognize his voice easier when he comes home you know. Theres actually a site that does the recordable books and you can get them for free I would google it sorry I dont remember the site. Also if hes going to miss the birth talk to the hospital now and see if your allowed to record the birth and just in case he gets a chance to be by a computer see if your allowed to have him on skype. My friend got to talk on the phone while giving birth and another friend actually got to skype with her husband so he saw everything. Good luck !!!!!
