Yellow spit up?

Anyone's LO ever had a bout of spit up that was bright yellow? DS spit up and it came out with yellow looking snot looking chunks and a little yellow tinged.

We had a pedi appt today for DS's spit up issues and we let her know about it but she really had no idea and said just to watch it (which I am fine with, we have a f/u on Monday anyways).

Nope. He was up until last week but I can't imagine the mucus sitting in his stomach for that long.

If you're breastfeeding it could be hind milk (the fatty milk that comes later in a breastfeeding session).  It's probably curdled from reacting to the stomach acid.  Or it's mucus from his nose mixed with milk, he might not seem stuffy but it might just be going straight down his throat instead of out of his nose.

Hm...it happened after we fed him my latest batch of frozen breastmilk. I wonder if that had anything to do with it then.

I am not too concerned about it right now since it only happened once. It is just not a color your expect to see coming out of your LOs mouth!

That happened when I BFed my daughter earlier this week. I have no idea what it was...haven't had it happen again. It was our first feeding of the day so my mother (a nurse) thought maybe it could be some bile in her tummy.
