I started doing P90x in January and lost 7lbs however I just felt like it's not enough and I need more cardio so I switched to Insanity and wow, lots of cardio. I like it better. Has anyone had good results with Insanity or doing it now?
I did Insanity for 30 days and loved it! I stopped because I like to change up my routines, a lot (!), and went back to Turbo Fire. I throw it in every once in a while when I need some extra cardio and don't have enough time in the day ? as you know, the workouts are usually 30-45 mins long.I?m doing ChaLEAN Extreme and have been adding extra cardio in (I?m in the second month).
You should see some great results with Insanity! Question - before you started P90X, did you take any measurements or your body fat %? Or just your weight? It's possible that you've been building lean muscle mass, which won't reflect a weight loss on the scale, but you should've noticed your clothes fitting better, muscle definition, etc.
I didn't take any measurements. My clothes did fit better however I feel right now I need to do more cardio for what my goal is. I like Insanity because it works a lot of the core and that's what I need. I am definitely doing P90x after Insanity.
I've heard awesome things about Insanity. I am going to try that next. Currently doing P90X (Day 65 woohoo!) I tried to time it so it is done by the time we do our IVF cycle but may have to cut it short.
I also found that I had to add cardio to P90X even though I am doing the Lean program (which is more cardio focused). I've been adding running or elliptical 2-3 times a week. As for results I didn't measure inches but weight went up initially (lean muscle gains) then dropped 6 weeks in. I am starting to substitute some running and more yoga for some of the strength workouts as I get closer to cycle time. Thus far I have dropped 5 lbs (from my initial start weight, 9 lbs from my high 2 weeks in) and a full clothing size. Most notable is in my wasteline, and arm and leg tone. I am blogging here, not discussing TTC but lots about the workouts!

I hope to try Insanity post preg!
Wow that's awesome results! Good Luck with everything!
I did insanity pre-pg and lost 14 lbs without any change to my diet (I was a two glasses of wine and once a day chocolate treat kind of girl). I lost several inches (no clue where that paper is that I wrote my inch loss on). I hope to get back into in in the next week or two. It is intense, but great cardio.
Lurker here with a question I've heard a lot of great things about Insanity and p90x, and am thinking about doing one of them after I have my baby. But are they strictly for home workouts, or can you incorporate them into the gym? (For example, I've done Jillian Michael's Making the Cut several times, and you can do it at home or a gym.) TIA!

I hear ya on adding more cardio! Intially I was just going to do ChaLEAN Extreme and I wasn't getting the results I wanted so I've added more cardio.
I forgot to take measurements too, lol! Ahhh, the joys of being a new mom! Who has time for measurements?
Keep me updated...I'd love to follow along with your progress!
