Who replaced my happy babby with a monster toddler???

I get home (late) from work tonight to a screaming toddler.  DH said from the moment our nanny left he melted down.

I tried every trick up my sleeve to turn him around and while I was able to get him calmed down, I never felt like he was back on an even keel.

Hopefully my wonderful, happy little boy returns tomorrow!

  • Amy, I swear when there's a weather front coming, C gets more cranky.  Me too, for that matter!  :)

  • We keep a special toy for just those occasions.  It's his remote control helicopter.  He's so obsessed with it we have to hide it away in a box, but we bring it out if he's sick or melting down.  Of course as soon as we put it away there's another meltdown! Crying

  • Monster toddler? You haven't experienced the terrible 2's (and 3's and 16s) yet!

  • Hope your happy little boy returned today!  It's tough watching them be a monster and not be able to communicate exactly what they need.  But I guess that is how we all learned.

Yeah but from what I hear the terrible 16s will be easier on those of us who have boys! Wink (even though toddlerhood is harder since boys don't sit quietly and paint and color and play with toys, or at least mine doesn't!)

  • I wonder this too sometimes. Pedi assures us it means that she is developing normally.
