Lifetime show "Coming Home"

Has anyone seen the commercial for the new show about soldiers coming home and surprising their kids and families called "Coming Home"?

I just have to say...I'm not a military wife, nor do I have any family in the military, but this 30 second preview made the tears ROLL down my face.... I just wanted to say that if any of you have family., friends or husbands overseas right now, I'm praying for you and I have SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much respect and admiration for what you and your soldiers are going through.

If you haven't seen the preview... here's the link.

Re: Lifetime show "Coming Home"

  • I got all choked up just seeing the commercial the other day and told my DH that I'd  be a goner (Crying wise) if I ever watched that.  I tend to get choked up watching that stuff anyhow as it hits so close to home as my DH is Navy, but now...

ETA: Just watched the link you put in.  OMG did it remind me of the emotions of seeing them again after they've been away. Soooo thankful he's home right now.

  • My DH is currently in Afghanistan and every time I see those commercials I just want to cry.

When he came home on R&R last month we surprised my DD (4) at school. She woke up her entire class (it was nap time). It is so amazing seeing a child's happiness in seeing that person who they love so much but don't get to see.

She wasn't old enough last time to remember any of it.

  • My H was active duty Army for 4 years, and is in the IL guard now. I don't even think I can watch the show. I'd be all puffy faced in no time. The day he came home from 12 months in Iraq was honestly the happiest day of my life thus far. More than our wedding. The emotions are insane.

  • Aw I know what a great show. My brother-in-law just got back from Afghanistan yesterday and will be done with the marines in a few months. It is absolutely horrible what they have to go through over there it just kills me. I am so thankful for each and every soldier we have.

  • I haven't seen the preview!  My husband is in Afghanistan right now and honestly, the reunions made me bawl when I wasn't pregnant.  So I'll wait to watch it when he comes home in the next few monthsSmile
