Feeling bad for DD - Birthday Party

My DD#2's 3rd birthday is in a week and a half.  We invited a handful of friends and so far only 1 is coming, 1 is a maybe and 4 (all from daycare) have not yet responded.  We did invite friends of ours who have 2 kids but they also can't make it due to another committment.  My niece and nephew will be there along with aunts, uncles and both sets of grandparents and of course, my older DD.  I know my DD is going to have a great time regardless of which of her friends is there but I feel bad.  DH and I were saying last night that while she is going to have a great time just being the center of attention and all of that stuff - when she is older and is looking at pictures of her parties and her sisters, she is going to notice a huge difference.  My older DD has always had a bigger circle of friends and all of her parties have had around 10-15 kids (last year might have been closer to 20 since some of the kids brought younger sibs with them).  I feel bad - older DD just happened to have a close group of friends at daycare from the get go and I got to know the parents as we typically did drop off and pick up at around the same time and we also hit it off really well with a number of families from the ECFE classes we took.  I did the classes with DD#2 but never made the same connection and have really not met any of the other parents from daycare with my DD#2.  I did put a reminder note in the daycare kids folders so hopefully I'll hear back from those parents this week.  I need to place the lunch order on Monday!

Which drives me crazy when I need to order food, etc.  That happened last year at my older DD's party - and not only did the person call the night before - she told me (not asked) if she could bring the child's sibling.  This was someone from daycare that I did not know well, did not even know the child had a sibling.  While I would not have minded if she had asked as I didn't have to pay per child, I didn't have a gift bag or anything for the sibling while I did for the other siblings that had asked in advance!
