Please give your opinion on spelling

We plan on pronouncing the name the same way,  but are stuck between the spelling.

 Laila OR Leila

Our last name is very long and hard to spell, so I am trying to make the first name easy for her to spell when she gets older. Not sure if having to learn 3 letters (l, a, and i) versus 4 letters (l, e, i, and a) really makes a difference. Thanks for the input!!!

Layla for sure. But, if that's not an option...Laila. Leila is sometimes pronounced Lie-la and I just think it's confusing as heck.

Laila just looks really off to me. All I see is "ail" so it makes me want to pronounce it similar to "sail."

I don't intuitively pronounce Leila the same way, though I could learn it if I knew a Leila.

This.  And it depends on the pronunciation.  To me, Leila is Lee-la and Layla is Lay-la.
