Disposing of needles

I ordered all my meds through Freedom Fertility and they sent me the containers to put the used needles in. They didn't tell me how to go about getting rid of said container when it's full.

Where did you all drop off the full sharps containers?

    I just googled needle disposal for our area and there is a recycling place in our town that has an area for just needles so we took them there.

    Are you still seeing your RE?  You can ask if yu can bring them in to put in their big containers.  You could also ask your OB maybe?

    I asked my RE nurse and she said I can just give them the container and they'll dispose them for me. They even gave me an empty replacement container.

    No, I graduated last week and next Weds is my last day of PIO ( yay !!). I won't see my OB again until the end of the month. I guess I can can both and see what they say.

    Holy crap, I just realized all my needles from August are still sitting in my dining room!!  Clearly I have no idea where to take them.  Haha!  Maybe I will ask my OB if they can dispose of them for me.

    It depends on your area. In some areas, if they are in the sharps container they can go directly in the trash.  I would google it.

    for Freedom I believe youcan send the full containers back to them. also, I was told to check with local drugstores (CVS, walgreens, etc), as they may take them. I have also heard you can seal it up good (duct tape) and you can put it in the regular trash - check your area though.

    I still have 3 containers of them under my kitchen sink! Probably about time to get rid of them. Some pharmacies will take sharps, but the two in my neighborhood charge $5 to take them. Call to check first.
