Honestly, DH and I agree that hiring a cleaning service has been a necessary investment in our marriage. That said, I'm not sure if my cleaning lady travels to your neck of the woods; but I'd be happy to send you her contact information.
We have used Vesco for a couple of years now. We love them! We have them come out once a month, and they always do a consistently great job. Give Jeremy a call. He will immediately put you at ease and answer all of your questions. I would get rid of cable and other things before I cut them out of our budget. Free time is worth the money!
Becky, would you be willing to share about how much they cost you? You can fbm me if you prefer. I called him earlier, and he couldn't really give me any sort of estimate. He just said the first time out they charge $80 per hour, and then they would give me a set rate. I want to have an idea if how much it might cost me before I have them out and am hooked We definitely plan on finding room in the budget, just curious how much room we need, lol.

FWIW - Their prices seemed to be a bit out of range for me.

Is your cleaning lady on her own or part of a company? Would you be willing to pass along her info?

That's only for your initial cleaning. I think we paid around $180 for the first cleaning. We pay $120 each time they come out now. They are here for 3 hours or so, depending on how many people they have in the crew. It is almost always the same people every time. Worth every stinking penny, IMO. Cost depends on home size and how much they need to do...lots of clutter, pet hair, dust etc. They don't change it after you sign on.
FWIW, I found a "company" through a flyer placed on our mailbox (before we tried Vesco). I used them for a year, and the cleans were very inconsistent, haphazard, and ummm...cheap. I got what my $75/every other week paid for. Which was one or two people who "cleaned" (swiffered and clorox wiped) with one arm, and used the other to text or chat on the phone. I supplied all cleaning products, which didn't get used. I about died when I caught them swiffering and clorox wiping. I can do that for free! Plus trash bags and paper towels left for them, which were always missing after they left. We always had different ladies in our home each time. Just some things to consider when you look for a company. Cheap is not always better. Screen them well.

Agreed. I plan to do some background checking before I hire someone That isn't a bad price at all though! That's less than we paid to get our 1 bedroom in Seattle cleaned, LOL!
