I am just wondering how others are dealing with the lack of energy and stamina being completely gone? I am hoping 2nd trimester brings some relief so I enjoy working out again.
i'm doing prenatal yoga a few times a week. i've heard that in your second trimester, you feel like superwoman! so i'm excited for that. i'm desparate to get my arms in shape!
As many days of the weeks as I can muster. On my bad weeks, I've exercised 3 days. On my good weeks as many as 5-6 days. I took a "exercise vacation," when pregnant with DS and I will not be making that mistake again this pregnancy.
I've been really sick with a bad cold all last week, and I'm just starting to feel better. So I went last night and just walked briskly on the treadmill. I'll go again today and tomorrow. Start off slow.
I was just thinking the same thing. I have been so tired during the 1st trimister but I hear the 2nd one gets better. I really want to start hitting the gym again.
I'm still early in this game, but I have been really tired all the time! I'm actually an aerobics instructor so I've been teaching and going to classes still. And I really do feel better afterwards.

I have being working out 4 days a week. It's really hard to get motivated, but it actually really helps with the fatigue.
This. Im used to doing 5 to 6 days but cut it back a little and I was taking 2 kickbox classes for a year and just stopped, my Doc said all that jumping not a good idea. So I do eliptical and step machine and all the weight classes still

Since approx June, I have been going to Zumba 4x per week. The first trimester has been brutal for me but I am still shooting for 2x per week and hopefully can get back up to 4. I asked the Zumba instructor (who just came back from maternity leave in Dec) and she said that it was fine to continue since I had been doing it for a while and my body was used to it. I also asked my dr who said the same thing. I do NOT, however, jump around as much as I did. I do the more 'low impact' moves.
I would think since you had been kickboxing for so long it would be OK too. Just do the more low impact type moves. If you talk to the instructor before hand, she might be able to give you ideas of low impact moves during the course of the class.
Last week I found that I got tired quite quickly, but this week I'm going strong. It feels great! I've been able to run 2 miles and still do weight lifting with some cross fit. I remember running a 5k last year and seeing a mom-to-be (with quite a belly!) run/walk the 5k and that image is my inspiration. I'm not concerned about my exercise routine because I'm just doing what I have always done (not trying anything new... well, maybe yoga, lol) However, I listen to my body more and if I'm fatigued I will quit (before I'd push myself more). I LOVE the empowerment of working out while pregnant - some women say they eat for two... I look at it as creating/keeping a healthy life for me and baby!
I have been working out on my regular schedule, but I can definitely tell a difference (I am only 4 1/2 weeks). I take a hip hop fitness class and a "muscle madness" class as well as my on-my-own routine. I have been fine in my hip hop class, I am definitely more thirsty and I get lightheaded so I take little breaks sometimes but the muscle madness class is not going as well. It is a head to toe toning class and when I went to class yesterday I had to leave half way through because I was having sharp pains and felt like I was going to pass out.... I didn't really workout when I was pregnant with my daughter so I didn't have these issues.... does this go away? Do you think I will be able to take the class again after I am further along? I don't want to take the class bad enough that I am willing to risk a possible miscarriage but I would like to be able to get back into it at some point.
