Questions to ask dr

Is there a list somewhere of questions that I can ask my dr and be clear that I get a chance at a vbac?

Ds was not decending and he was a pretty big baby.  So when I brought up vbac she was ok with it, I just want to understand fully my situation and ask the right questions.

First, congrats on your pregnancy! I'm 5 weeks pregnant and just starting the process of finding a provider thats vbac friendly so I am by no means a pro. Most people on this board seem to be pretty involved with their local ICAN chapters and will suggest you look into yours. I have not been to a meeting yet. I just emailed my local chapter leader today to get info on meetings, etc but they seem to be very helpful. Someone else on this board gave me this website, which has some good info and questions on it so I will pass it along to you. I can't help you but I just wanted to say hey!  I didn't know you were also a c-section mama.  Good luck on your VBAC!

I would ask about:

-what restrictions they place on VBAC moms (e.g. how many weeks can you go, will they do inductions, etc.)

-what their VBAC and overall c/s rates are

-how they would handle the situation that led to your primary c/s

-what they think about your VBAC odds

-anything else that is important to you 

Then post the responses here so we can analyze them.
