Although I USE TO BE an OCD GERMAPHOBE, since having my child I KNOW I cant save her from everything. BUT I do use a shopping cart cover.

I use one too.  I believe it's made by Bright Starts or Bright Stars, bought at BRU.

I use ours- got it from my mom.  I love it, I think it is by Bright Starts/stars as well.  She got it at BRU too.  The only thing I don't like is that it is blue so everyone thinks DD is a boy when we use it.  I'm over that though.

While there may, indeed, be bacteria on shopping cart handles, they can also be found on doorknobs, countertops and a host of other items we touch every day, Fishman said. ?My guess is that there are more bacteria on a car seat than on a shopping cart,? he added.

It also says in the article the best way to deal with bacteria on the handle is to wipe it with a disinfectant wipe.

I hope so.  My bathroom is divided in two rooms so my toothbrush is safe.  For the suckers that have it all in one, I'm shaking my head at you

I mostly use my shopping cart cover for the padding and "pinch protection"... and I give the cart a quick once over to make sure there isn't visible grime. I did get a high chair at a restaurant once with poop on it - gross. But I figure that the way germs work, it's just going to pick up germs from all the various places it goes so unless I wash it all the time (which I don't) it's not really helping much in the germ dept.

I always use a disinfectant wipe, whether or not the baby is with me. The cover is just more stuff to carry around. If she's with me, I give the whole area a wipe down. I don't see how this article promotes covers, but I also don't care if other people feel the need to carry them around.

You know why i use a cover? Because it's cute and i'm too lazy to wipe down the handle. I know that doesn't make sense, but at least I'm honest, haha. I like the cute cover. OKAY!?

That's exactly what I do. I have a shopping cart cover but I just don't like it and it's too much to carry. I have a pack of disinfectant wipes that fit right in the back of my pocket. So much easier for me.

I don't use a cover and I hardly ever remember to wipe down the handle bar. 

Bad parent award goes to me.

I always wipe the cart even if I actually remember to bring the cover with me...lol I also wipe down the high chairs at restaurants like its my job. LOL

I'm amazed at how dirty I find high chairs these days...
